Emergency Paediatric First Aid – 6 hour (Level 2/3)

All Courses Are Fully Approved (Essex County Council) And Certificated

This course is designed for those that require training as evidence when working towards an NVQ in childcare and education, or if already in an Early Years setting are working alongside another that has a full 12 hour PFA certificate.

It has a variety of practical and theoretical elements to handle scenarios that may happen and ensures that you comply with Ofsted for the Voluntary Childcare Register and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

 

By attending this training you will be able to confidently and effectively manage a baby or child that;

  • Is unconscious and breathing
  • Is unconscious and not breathing
  • Is bleeding
  • Is choking
  • Is suffering with shock

In addition we will teach you how to identify and treat the following;

  • Asthma
  • Seizures

Throughout your training we will be reviewing how to safely approach a scenario, how to monitor your casualty and manage treatment of injuries or illnesses until help arrives.

We will provide you with all the equipment that you will need throughout your training with us.

It is advisable to wear comfortable clothing that is suitable for moving around as we like to do lots of practical activities where possible.

We provide hot drinks however lunch is not provided as part of your training. There are nearby facilities for you to visit during our learning break.

There is no assessment for this particular course as you will be reviewed throughout to ensure that your learning is as thorough as possible.

On successful completion of this course you will be issued with a certificate to show you have demonstrated the required skills which will be valid for 3 years.
